Help In Auto Accidents
Being in an auto accident is unfortunate but they do happen quite often, and you have come to the right place for help. Professionals at the Chiropractic Injury Center are knowledgeable about the types of injuries that occur during these collisions and how to treat them. They can also assist you with the paperwork to open your claim and the forms for your insurance benefits.
If you start to experience symptoms, it is important to get care sooner rather than later. Waiting will cause your injuries to “set-in” and your body will start healing poorly. Results of treatment are often much better when treatment is started right after an injury because it helps the body heal properly.
We will help you understand how your injuries occurred by showing you live crash tests under slow motion, order and review diagnostics, and help you understand the different stages of healing that your body will go through. Even if you were in a minor rear-end collision, you can sustain real injuries that require treatment.
Often our patients have symptoms of brain trauma such as trouble with concentration, memory loss, dizziness, and nausea. We are aware that not only the spine and muscles can be injured. We will refer you to the right specialists for evaluation and make sure you get the treatment you need.
Help In Work Related injuries
If you sustained a work injury you might be wondering if you should open a claim. Is your employer going to fire you? Are you going to get lost wages paid? Will you get all the treatment you need for full recovery?
With Worker’s Compensation, you have the right to file a claim if you have a work-related injury. A chiropractor can see you for 18 visits or 60 days after your first visit. Often this is not enough time to make a full recovery and we can refer you to a medical doctor who becomes an attending physician for your case. They help prolong treatment to complete your recovery and can also further refer you to specialists that help evaluate the full extent of your injuries. At our clinic we will help you fill out the necessary forms and send them to your insurance company and medical doctor so that you don’t need to worry about paperwork.
Professionals at the Chiropractic Injury Center understand that these types of injuries can be tough to manage especially if they stop you from working and will help you through the process. If you need legal help, we will direct you to the right attorneys who can give you guidance.
We do hands-on massage therapy. Our massage therapists have many years of experience in various massage techniques. We have gentle massages for fresh injuries as well as deep tissue massages for those further in their care process or for chronic conditions. This therapy helps promote circulation, reduce spasms, relief stress/anxiety and reduce pain.
Our massage tables are equipped with table warmers and we have bottle warmers for our oils because we understand that there is nothing worse than being cold during your massage. We focus on using natural oils such as almond and coconut. We have many different oils and can accommodate skin allergies that our patients may have.
This field of medicine focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system, the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health. Chiropractic care is used to conservatively treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, pain in the joints of the arms, legs, and jaw. We practice a drug and surgery free approach to healthcare.
Chiropractors adjust the spine by “putting the bones back in place” and help restore the normal curvature of the spine. The purpose of an adjustment is to restore joint mobility and range of motion to the joints of the spine, arms, and legs. This helps the joints of the body move and function as they were intended. It also takes stress off the muscles, ligaments, and most importantly the nervous system. When the nervous system is able to function properly the body can better understand its own injuries and diseases so that it can properly heal itself.
- Electrical Stimulation
Uses an electrical current to cause muscles to contract. Electrodes are placed on the skin over the problematic areas on the muscle, then a gentle electric current is turned on and it forces the muscles to contract. The effect of it is that it artificially tires the muscle in spasm, allowing it to relax, and it helps promote circulation of blood to bring in nutrients in and remove toxins.
This therapy is used to treat deeper structures such as ligaments, tendons and fascia. Soundwaves are able to penetrate deeper than a standard heat and this helps to promote circulation, speed up the process of healing and decrease pain of those structures. It is used to provide deep heating to soft tissue in the body. Deep heating tendons, muscles or ligaments increases circulation to those tissues, which helps in the healing process. Increasing tissue temperature with ultrasound is also helps to relieve pain.
- Heat stimulation
We will use dry heat packs and place them over your spine and wrap them around your neck to warm up the muscles and increase circulation. We generally use this in combination with electric therapy to help it be more effective.
After an injury, the body automatically inhibits the muscle to protect it and prevent further injury. On top of having the muscle fibers be overstretched or torn this causes them to become very weak. Physical rehabilitation helps restore the strength in those muscle cells and stimulates the body to grow new healthy muscle cells. This is the most important therapy to help you recover from your injury.
A DOT exam is mandated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), ensuring that CDL drivers are in good health to work safely. We administer these exams and write medical certificates that allow truck drivers to work.
During these exams we will conduct a general examination of the heart, lungs, ears, nose, eyes, spine, etc. We will also make sure you are healthy and well. If there are any health concerns that need to be addressed we will refer you to the appropriate specialists and give you our recommendations for you to manage your conditions.
