Here are the services that our Chiropractic Injury Center is providing

Help In Auto Accidents

Being in an auto accident is unfortunate but they do happen quite often, and you have come to the right place for help. Professionals at the Chiropractic Injury Center are knowledgeable about the types of injuries that occur during these collisions and how to treat them. They can also assist you with the paperwork to open your claim and the forms for your insurance benefits. If you start to experience symptoms, it is important to get care sooner rather than later. Waiting will cause your injuries to “set-in” and your body will start healing poorly. Results of treatment are often much better when treatment is started right after an injury because it helps the body heal properly. We will help you understand how your injuries occurred by showing you live crash tests under slow motion, order and review diagnostics, and help you understand the different stages of healing that your body will go through. Even if you were in a minor rear-end collision, you can sustain real injuries that require treatment. Often our patients have symptoms of brain trauma such as trouble with concentration, memory loss, dizziness, and nausea. We are aware that not only the spine and muscles can be injured. We will refer you to the right specialists for evaluation and make sure you get the treatment you need.

Help In Work Related injuries

If you sustained a work injury you might be wondering if you should open a claim. Is your employer going to fire you? Are you going to get lost wages paid? Will you get all the treatment you need for full recovery? With Worker’s Compensation, you have the right to file a claim if you have a work-related injury. A chiropractor can see you for 18 visits or 60 days after your first visit. Often this is not enough time to make a full recovery and we can refer you to a medical doctor who becomes an attending physician for your case. They help prolong treatment to complete your recovery and can also further refer you to specialists that help evaluate the full extent of your injuries. At our clinic we will help you fill out the necessary forms and send them to your insurance company and medical doctor so that you don’t need to worry about paperwork. Professionals at the Chiropractic Injury Center understand that these types of injuries can be tough to manage especially if they stop you from working and will help you through the process. If you need legal help, we will direct you to the right attorneys who can give you guidance.

Concussion Treatment

What is a concussion? A concussion defined by the Center of Disease Control; A concussion is a type of traumatic brain injury—or TBI—caused by a bump, blow, or jolt to the head or by a hit to the body that causes the head and brain to move rapidly back and forth. This sudden movement can cause the brain to bounce around or twist in the skull, creating chemical changes in the brain and sometimes stretching and damaging brain cells.

But what does this mean? Depending on where the brain was injured a concussion can have a variety of symptoms some of the most common are:

  • Persistent headaches
  • Irritability
  • Light and Sound sensitivity
  • Difficulty focusing on tasks
  • Difficulty looking at a computer or phone screen
  • Short term memory problems (forgetting where you put your keys or wallet or difficulty studying for a test since you cannot remember the material you just read)
  • Feeling “spacy” or out of it
  • Blurry vision
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  • Dizziness
  • Nausea
  • Insomnia

There are a wide range of other symptoms that someone can have such as behavioral changes, vomiting, vertigo (sensation the room is spinning), slurred speech, numbness, decreased coordination, one pupil larger than the other, confusion.

When do concussions happen? They can happen in a variety of incidents such as a fall or blow to the head, sports injuries, a quick rapid movement of the head back and forth such as whiplash in a car accident. If you have had an event like this that could cause a concussion and you have these symptoms and can’t figure out why you are just not feeling like your usual self then come to Chiropractic Injury Center to be evaluated and see if you have had a concussion that needs treatment.

Chiropractic Care

This field of medicine focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system, the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health. Chiropractic care is used to conservatively treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, pain in the joints of the arms, legs, and jaw. We practice a drug and surgery free approach to healthcare.

Chiropractors adjust the spine by “putting the bones back in place” and help restore the normal curvature of the spine. The purpose of an adjustment is to restore joint mobility and range of motion to the joints of the spine, arms, and legs. This helps the joints of the body move and function as they were intended. It also takes stress off the muscles, ligaments, and most importantly the nervous system. When the nervous system is able to function properly the body can better understand its own injuries and diseases so that it can properly heal itself.

In order to help you we specialize in:

  • Gonstead technique
  • Activator technique
  • Drop table, technique
  • Diversified technique
  • Spinal Adjustments
  • Extremity Adjustments
  • Spinal Decompression
  • Faktor
  • and more..
Physiotherapy
  • Electrical Stimulation

Uses an electrical current to cause muscles to contract. Electrodes are placed on the skin over the problematic areas on the muscle, then a gentle electric current is turned on and it forces the muscles to contract. The effect of it is that it artificially tires the muscle in spasm, allowing it to relax, and it helps promote circulation of blood to bring in nutrients in and remove toxins.

  • Ultrasound

This therapy is used to treat deeper structures such as ligaments, tendons and fascia. Soundwaves are able to penetrate deeper than a standard heat and this helps to promote circulation, speed up the process of healing and decrease pain of those structures. It is used to provide deep heating to soft tissue in the body. Deep heating tendons, muscles or ligaments increases circulation to those tissues, which helps in the healing process. Increasing tissue temperature with ultrasound is also helps to relieve pain.

  • Heat stimulation

We will use dry heat packs and place them over your spine and wrap them around your neck to warm up the muscles and increase circulation. We generally use this in combination with electric therapy to help it be more effective.

Physical Rehabilitation

After an injury, the body automatically inhibits the muscle to protect it and prevent further injury. On top of having the muscle fibers be overstretched or torn this causes them to become very weak. Physical rehabilitation helps restore the strength in those muscle cells and stimulates the body to grow new healthy muscle cells. This is the most important therapy to help you recover from your injury.

We specialize in:

  • Manual Therapy
  • Ice Therapy
  • Heat Therapy
  • Ultrasound
  • Traction
  • Functional Electrical Stimulation
  • Exercise
  • and not only
Natural Heating Stone Mats

Natural heating stone remedies help with a wide range of health problems. The warmth you fill inside whole body when you step out into sun is caused by far infrared rays (FIR), an invisible light which is on opposite side of harmful ultraviolet rays. It is the same light that plants use to feed and live. Our body is not an exception. Stones such as jade, amethyst and tourmaline target a wide variety of issues that will improve your overall health.

  • Heat and speed up the recovery process

Infrared Rays (IR) help to heat deep tissues such as the ligaments, tendons and bones. Generally a hot pack will only heat the skin and a thin layer of tissue underneath it but many times our symptoms especially in the spine are much deeper and that kind of heat does not penetrate, these mats are effective at helping heat and speed up the recovery process of all the deep stabilizing structures around our joints and spine

  • Help in natural detoxification process

Negative Ions work by eliminating free radicals in our body, antioxidant products work in the same way and when these stones are heated up they release a lot of negative ions that help reduce the amount of free radicals in our body and take a lot of stress off of our system

  • Stimulates the repair and healing of nerve cells

Pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy uses the same magnetic waves the earth and these waves help stimulate our cells to work and function better and stimulates the repair and healing of nerve cells

We have 3 variants of mats and each has their own specific properties:

  1. Jade
    • Helps the body function more efficiently by stabilizing your energy levels
    • Emits a low heat that produces a calming sensation good for meditation
    • Mined in China, then cut and polished to the ideal size found on your mat
  2. Tourmaline
    • Produces the highest amount of negative ions
    • Improves the body’s ability to recover energy and detoxify itself
    • Fragile in structure, potent in benefits
  3. Amethyst / PEMF –
    • Emits a strong and steady flow of far infrared and negative ions
    • Promotes better wellness and a better quality of life
    • Comes in a crushed form that conforms well to the shape of your body

Infrared Heating Bed

Infrared Rays (IR) help to heat deep tissues such as the ligaments, tendons and bones. Generally a hot pack will only heat the skin and a thin layer of tissue underneath it but many times our symptoms especially in the spine are much deeper and that kind of heat does not penetrate, these mats are effective at helping heat and speed up the recovery process of all the deep stabilizing structures around our joints and spine

Infrared Heating Bed will help promote chemical reactions that occur in living cells of our bodies in order to maintain life, reduce pain, and distribute nutrients and energy throughout your body in order to increase ability to survive. They will also cleanse your blood, have a calming effect, and help you to recover from fatigue.

Fito Sauna

Saunas relax muscles and soothe aches/pains in both muscles and joints. Under the high heat provided by a sauna, the body releases endorphins. Endorphins are the body’s all-natural “feel good” chemical, and their release provides the ability to minimize the pain of arthritis and muscle soreness other from, say, an intense physical workout. Sauna use can help the body and mind deal with stress and reduce the risk of depression and other mental disorders.

To add to its healing benefits, we use aromatic or healing herbs. In our sauna we use only the best quality natural herbs.
